POSITION INFO

An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Debtors Clerk to join a well-established organisation on a 4-month contract . If you have a strong background in accounts receivable, collections, reconciliations, and customer account management, this is your opportunity to contribute from day one in a fast-paced finance environment. Key Responsibilities: Manage the full debtors function and maintain accurate customer accounts. Follow up on outstanding payments via phone, email, and other communication channels. Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies and customer queries. Monitor and analyse ageing reports, prioritising overdue accounts for collection. Negotiate payment arrangements while protecting the company's interests. Generate and distribute customer invoices and statements accurately and timeously. Process debtors and creditors transactions where required. Perform cashbook processing, bank reconciliations, general ledger processing, and monthly journals. Prepare debtor status reports and collection updates for management. Work closely with the sales and administration teams to resolve account-related matters. Maintain accurate records of all customer interactions and payment arrangements. Deliver professional customer service while ensuring effective debt collection. Job Experience and Skills Required: Diploma in Accounting, Financial Management, or a related qualification. 3 - 5 years' finance experience Strong understanding of accounting principles. Advanced Microsoft Excel and MS Office skills. Experience working on accounting or ERP systems. Apply now!
