Salary: R20 000 – R25 000 Basic (Depending on Current Earnings)
Commission: R50 000 – R100 000+ (Performance Based)
A well-established franchised motor dealership is seeking an experienced and results-driven
New Vehicle Sales Manager to lead a high-performing sales team. This opportunity is ideal for a driven automotive professional with a proven track record in achieving sales targets, developing successful teams, and maximising dealership profitability within a franchised dealership environment.
POSITION INFO
Key Responsibilities Lead, motivate, coach, and manage the new vehicle sales team to achieve and exceed monthly and annual sales targets. Develop and implement effective sales strategies to increase vehicle sales and market share. Monitor sales performance, KPIs, budgets, forecasts, and departmental profitability. Recruit, train, mentor, and evaluate sales consultants. Build and maintain strong customer relationships while delivering exceptional customer service. Oversee quotations, negotiations, deal approvals, and vehicle deliveries. Work closely with the Finance & Insurance department to maximise profitability. Manage vehicle inventory and ensure effective stock control. Ensure compliance with dealership policies, manufacturer standards, and legal requirements. Resolve customer queries professionally and drive marketing and promotional initiatives. Maintain accurate sales records using the Dealership Management System (DMS). Minimum Requirements Grade 12 (Matric). Valid South African driver's licence. Minimum 3-5 years' experience as a New Vehicle Sales Manager or in a senior automotive sales management role. Proven track record of consistently achieving and exceeding sales targets. Experience within a franchised motor dealership is essential. Strong leadership, coaching, and team management skills. Sound knowledge of dealership operations, sales processes, and DMS systems. Strong financial, reporting, negotiation, and customer relationship management skills.
