POSITION INFO
Key Responsibilities Strategic Financial Reporting & Governance Lead the preparation and delivery of monthly, quarterly, annual, and statutory financial reporting. Ensure the accuracy, integrity, and reliability of financial information across the business. Prepare executive and board-level reporting packs with meaningful performance commentary and strategic recommendations. Deliver high-level reports highlighting financial performance, risks, opportunities, and key business drivers. Monitor industry trends, competitor performance, and market developments to support strategic decision-making. Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting, governance, and regulatory standards. Financial Planning, Budgeting & Forecasting Take ownership of the budgeting process across the division. Drive forecasting cycles and provide accurate forward-looking financial projections. Lead the development and consolidation of strategic financial plans. Perform detailed variance analysis and identify opportunities for performance improvement. Partner with operational leaders to evaluate business performance against strategic and financial objectives. Business Partnering & Performance Management Translate financial information into actionable commercial insights. Provide strategic financial analysis to support growth initiatives, investments, and cost optimisation. Drive data-driven decision-making through analytical modelling and performance evaluation. Promote a culture of accountability, financial discipline, and operational excellence. Process Improvement & Finance Transformation Continuously improve reporting processes, controls, and systems. Drive automation and advanced reporting initiatives to enhance efficiency and decision-making. Lead finance transformation projects focused on standardisation, optimisation, and improved data quality. Ensure all reporting deadlines and deliverables are achieved through effective planning and coordination. Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership and key stakeholders. Build strong relationships across finance, operations, and external partners. Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance team. Foster an environment of collaboration, excellence, and continuous improvement. Risk Management & Compliance Ensure compliance with IFRS, governance frameworks, and internal controls. Identify and mitigate financial risks and reporting gaps. Support internal and external audit processes and drive resolution of audit findings. Minimum Requirements Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CA(SA) qualification highly advantageous. Minimum 10 years' post-qualification experience in a senior finance leadership role. Proven experience leading and developing finance teams. Strong financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and business partnering expertise. Experience within a high-volume commercial, retail, or fast-paced corporate environment will be highly beneficial. Sound knowledge of IFRS, governance, and compliance frameworks. Advanced proficiency in SAP, Microsoft Excel, and Google Workspace . Strong analytical, commercial, and strategic thinking capabilities.
