SUMMARY

Our client is seeking a skilled

Utility II Operator to operate, maintain, and support production equipment within a manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring machines operate efficiently, minimising downtime, maintaining product quality, and supporting production targets.

POSITION INFO

Minimum Requirements Grade 12 / Matric (NQF 4). Trade Tested Artisan qualification (NQF 5). Minimum 3 years' operator experience in a manufacturing environment. Basic computer literacy (MS Office, SAP/ERP systems advantageous). Key Responsibilities Operate, set up, and maintain production machinery in accordance with operating procedures. Monitor equipment performance and ensure optimal production output and product quality. Perform basic maintenance and fault-finding to minimise breakdowns and downtime. Ensure extraction, cooling, and related systems are operating effectively. Complete production logs, job cards, and required documentation accurately. Adhere to safety, housekeeping, and company compliance standards. Report equipment faults, risks, and operational concerns promptly. Maintain positive working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders. Key Competencies Strong mechanical aptitude and fault-finding skills. Knowledge of maintenance practices and manufacturing processes. Strong problem-solving ability. Attention to detail and commitment to quality. Good communication and teamwork skills.
