POSITION INFO

Minimum Requirements: Trade Test as a Mechanical Fitter (preferred) Minimum 2-3 years' experience in a manufacturing or production environment Experience with mechanical maintenance, fault finding, and repairs on production machinery Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, bearings, conveyors, gearboxes, and pumps will be advantageous Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to maintenance Willing to work overtime or shifts when required Valid driver's licence and own reliable transport advantageous Duties: Perform planned preventative and breakdown maintenance on plant machinery Diagnose and repair mechanical faults to minimise production downtime Install, assemble, and maintain mechanical equipment Complete maintenance reports and ensure compliance with health and safety standards Assist with continuous improvement and plant optimisation initiatives. Typical fitter responsibilities in manufacturing include preventative maintenance, fault finding, repairs, and equipment installation.
