POSITION INFO

Training Officer The Training Officer is responsible for training and developing production staff by delivering SOP, safety, and operational training. The role includes assessing training needs, mentoring new employees, and providing hands‑on coaching in milling operations, food safety, quality standards, and workplace safety. The goal is to ensure a skilled, competent, and high‑performing workforce. Working Hours 07:30 - 16:30 Training Provided As and when required, but candidates must be proficient when starting. Dress Code Corporate / Smart Casual Experience Required Minimum 15 years' experience as a Miller Skills Required Resilience and ability to cope under pressure Reliability Strong prioritising skills Attention to detail Persistence Strong communication skills in English Knowledge of Xitsonga, Xhosa, Zulu, or Sesotho is advantageous Qualifications Required National Senior Certificate (NQF 4) or equivalent SAGMA or GMF accredited qualification Minimum 15 years' Miller experience Computer Skills Required MS Office proficiency Key Responsibilities Provide SOP training to build a skilled, safety‑conscious workforce Conduct training needs assessments within the production department Mentor, coach, and guide new employees Deliver hands‑on training in milling operations, food safety, quality standards, and workplace safety Additional Requirements Valid RSA driver's license Own transport Passport and visa may be required Intermediate management ability Detail‑orientated, structured, and well‑mannered personality Scholtz International
