Our client is seeking a reliable, hands‑on Property Supervisor to oversee minor maintenance, breakdowns, and day‑to‑day operational upkeep across a portfolio of commercial properties in the East Rand. This role is not administrative — all admin duties will be handled by the client’s secretary. The successful candidate must be practical, proactive, and able to resolve maintenance issues quickly while coordinating contractors and ensuring properties remain safe, functional, and well‑maintained. Key Responsibilities Property Maintenance — Conduct regular site visits across multiple properties to ensure standards are maintained Minor Repairs — Handle minor breakdowns, basic repairs, and general maintenance tasks personally Contractor Coordination — Liaise with electricians, plumbers, builders, security providers, and other service teams Quality Checks — Ensure all work completed by contractors meets required standards Site Readiness — Ensure properties remain clean, safe, functional, and presentable Problem Solving — Identify issues early and implement corrective actions Operational Support — Assist with tenant queries and on‑site operational matters Travel Between Sites — Move between multiple properties daily (valid driver’s licence required) Minimum Requirements Property / Facilities Experience — Experience in property supervision, facilities maintenance, or commercial property operations Hands‑On Maintenance Ability — Ability to perform minor repairs and resolve breakdowns independently Contractor Management — Experience coordinating service providers and ensuring quality workmanship Communication Skills — Strong interpersonal and communication ability Problem‑Solving — Ability to identify issues and resolve them quickly Driver’s Licence — Valid driver’s licence required Reliability — Must be dependable, punctual, and accountable Key Competencies Professionalism — Well‑presented and professional Attention to Detail — Strong focus on quality and neatness Coordination Skills — Ability to manage multiple tasks and contractors Pressure Handling — Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines Relationship Building — Strong ability to build trust with tenants and contractors
