CANDIDATE ATTORNEY Our client is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented, and client-facing Candidate Attorney to serve their articles of clerkship at a dynamic boutique commercial litigation firm in Johannesburg! Location : Roodepoort, Johannesburg Salary : R8,000 - R10,000 per month (in line with LPC stipend guidelines) Contrac t: 2-Year Articles Essential Qualifications: - LLB Degree (completed or awaiting graduation) - Articles to be registered with the LPC - Proficient in both English and Afrikaans (ESSENTIAL - operational requirement) - Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite - Comfortable working in a Mac environment Key Responsibilities: Litigation Support: - Assist attorneys with preparation and management of litigation matters across Magistrates'' and High Court - Draft legal documents, pleadings, notices and correspondence under supervision - Attend court, consultations and meetings as required - Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda Client & Administrative: - Liaise with clients, sheriffs, correspondent attorneys and court officials - Utilise South African digital court platforms (Court Online, Caselines and related) - Provide general administrative support to the legal team - This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated LLB graduate to gain meaningful practical experience in a boutique litigation environment!
