SUMMARY

You will lead the team in creating and launching innovative baked dry products (biscuits/rusks) for this well establish brand in Northern Suburbs of Cape Town.

POSITION INFO

The role responsibilities include managing production processes in the respective department, optimizing costs, and ensuring quality standards. With a focus on supplier relationships and team leadership, you will drive efficiency and excellence in the manufacturing operations. This role is ideal for you if you want to grow into the position. Structure and guidance in line to assist you in your journey to succeed. Requirements: Diploma/Degree in Food Technology/Science or related field of study Grade 12 - MATRIC and/or relevant Tertiary qualification 3-5 years previous experience in Food/Bev sector 2 years supervisory/managerial experience 2 years product development experience - preferably in Food Industry Familiarity with ERP systems or other production planning software is advantageous Understanding of food safety regulations and quality assurance standards Duties: New Product Development (NPD) Leadership Lead the execution of new product development projects from concept to launch Conduct market research and analysis to identify consumer trends and competative landscape Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop innovative product concepts and prototypes Production Management: Plan and coordinate production schedules for departments to meet demand forecasts and inventory targets Optimize production processes to improve efficiency and reduce costs while ensuring quality standards Ensure compliance with health, safety, and regulatory requirements in production operations Suppliers and Vendor Management Identify and onboard suppliers/vendors for raw materials and packaging Negotiate contracts and manage relationships to ensure timely delivery and quality standards Monitor supplier performance and implement improvements as necessary Team Leadership and Development Supervise and support the NPD and production teams, ensuring alignment with company goals and standards Provide guidance and mentorship to team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation If this amazing opportunity sounds like something you would like to do, then forward your CV by applying directly to this ad.
