About the Role Our client, a highly respected multi-disciplinary firm of Chartered Accountants, is seeking a diligent Company Secretary to manage the full statutory and regulatory compliance function for a diverse portfolio of clients. This role is ideal for a professional who thrives in a people-first culture and is committed to delivering excellence in corporate governance and statutory administration. Key Responsibilities Client Portfolio Management: Manage and maintain statutory compliance requirements for a diverse corporate client base, acting as the primary point of contact for secretarial matters. Statutory Compliance: Prepare and submit all CIPC filings, including annual returns, director changes, share transfers, allotments, and amendments to company records. Corporate Governance: Prepare board resolutions, special resolutions, and minutes while ensuring all statutory registers and company records are meticulously maintained. Company Secretarial Actions: Facilitate company formations, conversions, deregistrations, MOI amendments, and share restructures. Regulatory Oversight: Monitor regulatory deadlines, assist with beneficial ownership disclosures, and manage internal FICA, PAIA, and POPIA regulatory requirements. Internal Collaboration: Liaise with partners, auditors, and tax practitioners to ensure integrated service delivery and maintain audit-ready compliance tracking systems. Requirements Education: Relevant tertiary qualification in Company Secretarial Practice, Corporate Governance, Law, or Accounting. Experience: Minimum of 3 years' experience in a company secretarial role within a professional accounting, auditing, or corporate services environment. Technical Knowledge: Strong working knowledge of the Companies Act 71 of 2008 and expert proficiency with CIPC e-services and filings. Systems: Proficiency in statutory management software (experience with ProfSec is highly advantageous). Competencies: Exceptional attention to detail, the ability to manage multiple deadlines, and strong professional communication skills. Location: Applicants must be based in the Western Cape.
