POSITION INFO

Job Description: Perform fitting, machining, and assembly activities on mechanical components and equipment Set up and operate conventional lathes, milling machines, and workshop equipment Manufacture, modify, and repair precision-engineered components according to technical drawings Conduct fault-finding and mechanical problem-solving on production equipment Ensure all work is completed to quality, safety, and production standards Read and interpret engineering drawings, tolerances, and specifications Support continuous improvement initiatives within the workshop and production environment Maintain accurate records of completed work and inspections Skills & Experience: Minimum 7 years' experience as a Mechanical Fitter & Turner within a manufacturing, production, or engineering environment Experience setting up and operating conventional milling machines and lathes Strong machining, fitting, and precision measurement skills Ability to read and interpret technical and engineering drawings Experience working with hydraulic and pneumatic systems Strong understanding of hydraulic power units, cylinders, pumps, and associated components Experience fault-finding and maintaining pneumatic equipment and control systems Knowledge of centrifugal pumps and valves within an industrial or manufacturing environment Qualification: Trade Test: Fitter & Turner Only South African Residents or individuals with a relevant South African work permit will be considered.
