SUMMARY
Purpose of the Role
A well-established automotive parts retailer is seeking a Junior Bookkeeper to join its finance team.
This opportunity is ideally suited to someone with 3–5 years' bookkeeping experience within the automotive parts industry who has a solid understanding of parts inventory, supplier accounts, purchasing processes and day-to-day bookkeeping functions.

Key Responsibilities Perform daily bookkeeping functions up to Trial Balance. Process supplier invoices and reconcile supplier accounts. Prepare supplier payments and ensure payments are processed accurately and on time. Capture purchase orders and supplier transactions. Process inventory-related transactions and maintain accurate stock records. Reconcile stock movements and investigate stock variances. Perform bank reconciliations and general ledger reconciliations. Capture journals and maintain accurate financial records. Assist with month-end financial processes. Maintain accurate filing and financial documentation. Provide general finance and administrative support to the finance department. Minimum Requirements Grade 12 (Matric). Bookkeeping, Accounting or Finance qualification will be advantageous. 3-5 years' experience in a Junior Bookkeeping role. Previous experience within the automotive parts industry is essential. Experience working with parts inventory and stock control . Experience processing supplier purchases, supplier reconciliations and supplier payments . Sound understanding of bookkeeping principles and reconciliations. Computer literate with good Microsoft Excel skills. Experience working on an accounting or ERP system.
