Job Purpose

An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced

Human Resources Officer to join a dynamic HR team. This role is suited to a well-rounded HR Generalist who enjoys working across the full employee lifecycle, supporting business objectives through effective people practices, HR administration, employee relations, recruitment, performance management, and compliance.

The successful candidate will be proactive, service-driven, highly organised, and passionate about creating a positive employee experience while ensuring compliance with South African labour legislation.

POSITION INFO

Key Responsibilities Recruitment & Onboarding Coordinate end-to-end recruitment activities, including sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding new employees. Facilitate smooth onboarding and induction processes to ensure successful employee integration. Employee Relations Provide support on disciplinary matters, grievances, incapacity processes, and employee relations. Assist with labour-related matters and represent the business where required. Promote positive employee engagement and workplace wellbeing initiatives. Performance & Talent Management Support the implementation of performance management processes. Assist managers with performance improvement initiatives and employee development. Coordinate learning and development initiatives where required. HR Administration & Compliance Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation. Support payroll administration through accurate employee information management. Ensure compliance with labour legislation, HR policies, and internal procedures. Assist with HR reporting, audits, and statutory submissions. HR Operations Assist in implementing HR strategies and initiatives aligned with business objectives. Provide day-to-day HR support to managers and employees. Contribute to continuous improvement of HR processes and best practices. Minimum Requirements Degree or Diploma in Human Resources, Industrial Psychology, or a related qualification. 3-5 years' experience in a Human Resources Generalist role. Sound knowledge of South African Labour Legislation. Experience supporting recruitment, employee relations, and HR administration. Working knowledge of payroll systems (SAGE People 300 advantageous). Strong Microsoft Office skills.
