POSITION INFO

Are you ready to take on a pivotal role in driving operational excellence within a dynamic retail environment? Our client, a leading organization committed to operational efficiency and inventory accuracy, is seeking a seasoned Inventory & Operations Supervisor to lead stock management and streamline warehouse operations in the Eastern Cape. What You'll Do: Maintain optimum stock levels through effective forecasting and replenishment strategies. Oversee re-order reports, coordinate with procurement teams, and manage stock levels to prevent shortages or overstocking. Monitor stock turns, slow-moving items, and manage excess inventory and stock losses. Ensure accurate inventory records and manage purchasing from approved suppliers. Obtain quotations, negotiate prices, lead times, and service levels in collaboration with regional procurement. Process purchase orders, manage supplier relationships, and resolve discrepancies. Supervise warehouse operations including receiving, storage, packing, and dispatch. Coordinate urgent deliveries and inter-branch transfers to meet operational needs. Lead stock take activities and analyse variances to implement corrective actions. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain warehouse standards. Manage maintenance of equipment and ensure security controls are effective. Supervise warehouse, fleet, and inventory staff, overseeing workload, attendance, and performance. Drive team coaching, training, and disciplinary processes to foster a high-performance environment. Maintain comprehensive records of inventory, procurement, and operational reports. Provide management with insights into operational and inventory performance. Requirements: 5 to 10 years of experience in inventory control or warehouse management within retail. Strong leadership and team management skills. Proficiency in data analysis, ERP systems, and stock control tools. Excellent negotiation, communication, and problem-solving abilities. Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety standards. Nice to Have: Additional skills in logistics management or supply chain optimization.
