A well-established commercial vehicle dealership in Durban is looking to appoint an experienced

Commercial Workshop Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of its busy workshop.

The successful candidate must have a strong background in commercial vehicle workshop management and a proven ability to lead a high-performing team while ensuring workshop efficiency, productivity, and profitability.

POSITION INFO

Minimum Requirements Minimum 5 years' experience as a Commercial Workshop Manager within the commercial vehicle industry. Commercial vehicle dealership experience is essential. Proven experience managing workshop operations, technicians, and productivity. Strong leadership and people management skills. Excellent knowledge of workshop processes, job costing, warranty procedures, and aftersales operations. Ability to monitor workshop efficiency, labour sales, and profitability. Stable employment history with contactable references. Computer literate on dealership management systems. Valid driver's licence. Matric (Grade 12). Trade Test qualification will be advantageous. Key Responsibilities Manage the daily operations of the commercial workshop. Lead, coach, and develop technicians, foremen, and workshop staff. Ensure maximum workshop productivity and efficiency. Monitor workshop KPIs, labour sales, and profitability. Ensure all repairs and maintenance are completed to manufacturer standards. Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction. Oversee quality control and ensure vehicles are delivered on time. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and company policies. Work closely with the Parts and Service departments to ensure smooth operations. Prepare reports and manage workshop performance.
