Commercial Estimator Location: Somerset West Employment Type: Permanent Salary: R20,000 per month (Market-related based on experience) Join a Growing Construction Group A well-established Group of Companies in the construction industry is looking for a Commercial Estimator to join their team permanently. you will provide estimating and commercial support across multiple businesses within the group, working on a diverse range of commercial, industrial, residential, and infrastructure projects. If you have strong estimating skills, enjoy working in a fast-paced construction environment, and want to grow with an expanding business, we'd like to hear from you. Key Responsibilities Prepare accurate estimates, quotations, and Bills of Quantities (BOQs) Develop project budgets and perform material and labour take-offs Manage project costing, cash flow, claims, and cost reporting Price variations and monitor project profitability Assist with tender submissions and quotations Work closely with project managers, site teams, and administration Build and maintain relationships with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors Oversee smaller maintenance and renovation projects from pricing through to completion Ensure financial accuracy throughout all project stages Minimum Requirements Minimum 3 years' experience in Construction Estimating or Quantity Surveying Strong knowledge of construction costing and project financial management Excellent numerical accuracy and analytical skills Experience preparing BOQs and tender documentation Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint Experience with estimating software such as CCS Candy, BuildSmart , or similar will be advantageous Valid driver's licence and own reliable transport Excellent communication and relationship-building skills Personal Attributes We're looking for someone who is: Highly organized and detail-oriented Honest, professional, and accountable Able to work well under pressure Adaptable within a live construction environment A proactive problem solver Committed to delivering high-quality work Comfortable working with multiple stakeholders What's on Offer Permanent position Market-related salary from R20,000 per month Laptop and cellphone provided BNI membership and networking opportunities Annual leave Opportunity to grow within a well-established and expanding construction group Supportive team environment with long-term career prospects Apply Today If you have a passion for construction estimating and want to build your career with a dynamic group of companies, we'd love to hear from you.
