Test Analyst (Entry Level)

An exciting opportunity is available for an Entry-Level Test Analyst to join a dynamic technology team delivering innovative enterprise software solutions within a global IT environment. The successful candidate will be involved in testing modern backend applications and services that support retail and sales operations.

This role is ideal for a candidate looking to build a career in software quality assurance, API testing, automation testing, and Agile software delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive test strategies and test plans.
  • Create detailed test cases and test scripts based on functional specifications and user stories.
  • Execute backend testing, including unit, integration, and API testing.
  • Validate business logic, data processing, and system integrations.
  • Support the implementation of automated testing frameworks using tools such as Selenium, JUnit, and Postman.
  • Integrate testing activities into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Analyse logs and metrics using monitoring and observability tools.
  • Identify, document, track, and report software defects.
  • Maintain accurate testing documentation and test evidence.
  • Collaborate closely with developers, DevOps teams, business stakeholders, and senior testers.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Utilize AI-assisted testing tools where applicable.
  • Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Exposure to software testing methodologies and best practices.
  • Understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Ability to design and execute test plans and test cases.
  • Knowledge of RESTful APIs.
  • Exposure to API testing tools such as Postman or SoapUI.
  • Exposure to Apache Kafka.
  • Exposure to manual and/or automated testing.
  • Understanding of Grafana monitoring and observability tools.
  • Basic understanding of the Quarkus Java framework.
  • Exposure to AI-powered development and testing tools such as GitHub Copilot.
