About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced Facilities Manager to oversee a portfolio of commercial and industrial properties. The successful candidate will be responsible for facilities management, contractor and SLA management, tenant relations, maintenance planning, compliance, and leading a team to ensure the efficient day-to-day operation of the property portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of commercial and industrial properties.
- Lead and support the Facilities Coordinators.
- Manage contracts, lease agreements, and service level agreements (SLAs).
- Oversee contractors and ensure agreed KPIs and service standards are achieved.
- Ensure planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance are completed within required turnaround times.
- Conduct regular site inspections and quality checks on maintenance work.
- Monitor compliance with lease agreements and report any deviations.
- Manage tenant relationships, respond to queries and complaints, and conduct regular tenant meetings.
- Prepare monthly management reports and ensure utility meter readings are submitted on time.
- Report utility faults, tampering, and disconnection notices.
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, health and safety requirements, and company policies.
- Identify and mitigate operational risks while maintaining high service standards.
Requirements
- Relevant qualification in Facilities Management, Property Management, Engineering, Building Management, or a related field.
- 5+ years' experience in facilities or property management, preferably within commercial or industrial properties.
- Proven experience managing contractors, maintenance programmes, service providers, and SLAs.
- Strong knowledge of building maintenance, lease agreements, and statutory compliance.
- Excellent leadership, communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and property/facilities management systems.
- Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel between sites.
