This role suits someone who wants full ownership of the books and a genuine hand in commercial decision making. You'll run the complete bookkeeping cycle from source document to trial balance, and layer in cost analysis on procurement that directly informs pricing and margin decisions.

Duties and Responsibilities

Full capture of sales, purchases, journals, and bank transactions
Monthly reconciliation to trial balance, with investigation and resolution of all variances
End to end debtors management: invoicing, allocations, age analysis, collections follow up, and reconciliations
End to end creditors management: invoice capture, PO and delivery note matching, supplier recons, and payment runs
Daily cashbook maintenance, bank reconciliations, and cash flow monitoring
Journal preparation, including accruals, prepayments, and month end adjustments
VAT recons and support with statutory submissions
Audit ready filing and documentation, both physical and electronic
Month end, year end, and external audit support
Cost tracking on purchased products and raw materials, landed cost builds, budget versus actual variance reporting, and proactive flagging of cost movements that affect pricing or sourcing decisions

Desired Experience and Qualifications

Accounting, Bookkeeping, or Finance qualification, or equivalent experience
3 to 5 years' full function bookkeeping experience
Strong working knowledge of accounting or ERP systems
Cost or product analysis exposure is an advantage, particularly in procurement, manufacturing, FMCG, or agri processing settings
This is a structured role with room to grow into a more analytical, commercially focused position over time, in a business that treats accurate financials as a priority, not an afterthought
