Ladieswear Production Planner (with Advanced SYNC)

Duties will include but are not limited to:

  • Optimize the overall manufacturing factory workflow (+-200 staff).
  • Manage production schedules from raw materials to finished garments.
  • Advanced Sync System Management & SAP Integration.
  • Maintain, configure, and update the Sync program daily.
  • Raise and track production jobs in SAP when required by corporate workflows.
  • Ensure seamless data alignment and reconciliation between Sync and SAP systems.
  • Build, verify, and manage complex Bills of Materials (BOMs).
  • Troubleshoot system issues and optimize Sync workflows for maximum efficiency.
  • Generate, analyze, and distribute advanced production and efficiency reports.
  • Train and support internal team members on Sync system updates and best practices.
  • Production Scheduling & Capacity Planning.
  • Develop and maintain master production schedules.
  • Align factory capacity with sales demands and order deadlines.
  • Monitor daily production outputs against set targets.
  • Manage and balance workflow streams for +-200 production staff.
  • Proactively identify and minimize bottlenecks in the cutting and sewing lines.
  • Ensure on-time delivery of garments while maintaining quality standards.
  • Track fabric and trim arrivals to ensure alignment with production starts.
  • Verify material readiness and availability before releasing jobs to the floor.
  • Monitor stock levels continuously to prevent shortages or over-ordering.
  • Coordinate closely with procurement, warehouse, and logistics teams.
  • Act as the central liaison between design, cutting, sewing, and dispatch departments.
  • Communicate timelines, adjustments, and capacity constraints clearly to management.
  • Resolve supplier or factory delays quickly through effective problem-solving.
  1. Do you have 4 to 5 years experience as a Ladieswear Production Planner WITHIN the Fashion Retail or Clothing Manufacturing industry?
  2. Do you have experience Planning for a manufacturing facility of 150–250 staff?
  3. Do you have advanced experience with Sync PLM/ERP (apparel system)?
  4. Do you have advanced Excel skills?
  5. Do you have experience working with SAP (specifically job creation, tracking, or related modules)?
  6. Do you have a strong understanding of the Durban clothing manufacturing and CMT processes?
  7. Do you have a strong understanding of garment construction, patterns, and production flows?
