What You’ll Do
You’ll take ownership of work that gives us our competitive edge, including:
- Lead, coach and develop a team of Social Media Designers across London and Africa, fostering creativity, collaboration and continuous improvement.
- Conduct regular feedback sessions, performance reviews and development planning for team members.
- Review and approve creative output, ensuring consistency, quality and adherence to brand standards.
- Manage team workload, resource allocation and project prioritisation across multiple brands and campaigns.
- Provide creative direction and guidance on campaigns, design systems and social-first content execution.
- Act as the escalation point for creative challenges and stakeholder feedback.
- Partner with stakeholders to align creative output with business objectives and campaign goals.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, templates, tools and AI-enabled workflows.
- Develop designers in terms of their skill set from Junior, Intermediate and Senior.
- Ensure delivery deadlines are met without compromising creative excellence.
- Be available after-hours to ensure the team are proactively supporting the social media management team in delivering trending and real time sporting content.

What You’ll Bring
You’re someone who brings:
- 5-7+ years' experience in social media design, digital design, motion design or related creative disciplines.
- Previous experience mentoring, coaching or leading designers within a fast-paced environment.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating social-first creative excellence across static, motion and video content.
- Experience managing multiple projects, stakeholders and competing priorities.
- Strong understanding of social media platforms, trends, content formats and performance metrics.
- Experience incorporating AI tools into creative workflows is highly desirable.
Desirable Skills You’ve Got Up Your Sleeve
It would be great if you also have some of the following skills:
- Proven experience coaching, mentoring and developing designers to achieve their full potential.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships across teams and levels.
- Experience leading creative workflows, resource planning and project prioritisation in a fast-paced environment.
- A passion for innovation, including the adoption of AI tools and emerging social media trends to enhance creative output.
