Junior Accountant

Our client, a leader in their field, is looking for a Junior Accountant to join their finance team based in Joburg North. Reporting to the Group Financial Manager, this is an excellent opportunity for a BCom graduate with solid accounting experience to join a dynamic and growing business.

What you’ll be responsible for:

• Managing day-to-day financial transactions and accounting records
• Preparing and processing journal entries and maintaining the general ledger
• Assisting with monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting
• Monitoring and reporting on cash flow
• Assisting with budgeting and forecasting
• Assisting with VAT submissions and other statutory requirements
• Preparing financial reports and information for management
• Supporting internal and external audits
• Maintaining accurate and well-organised financial documentation

What we’re looking for:

• BCom degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
• 5+ years’ relevant bookkeeping or accounting experience
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills
• Strong communication skills
