Logistics Controller

Our client in the logistics and industrial sector is seeking a Logistics Controller to plan, coordinate, and manage all transport and logistics activities. This role is vital to ensure deliveries are completed safely, on time, and cost-effectively while maintaining excellent customer service.

•Schedule and coordinate daily vehicle movements and deliveries.

•Allocate drivers and vehicles to loads.

•Monitor fleet movements using GPS tracking and ensure vehicles are roadworthy.

•Manage transport documentation, including delivery notes and proof of delivery.

•Liaise with customers regarding delivery schedules and provide updates.

•Monitor fuel consumption, transport costs, and identify cost-saving opportunities.

•Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation, traffic regulations, and company policies.

•Respond promptly to breakdowns, delays, or emergencies.

Requirements

•Grade 12 (Matric).

•Diploma/Certificate in Logistics, Supply Chain, or Transport Management (advantageous).

•2–5 years’ experience in logistics or transport operations.

•Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel).

•Experience with transport management systems (TMS) and GPS fleet tracking.

•Strong organizational and communication skills.

•Ability to work under pressure with attention to detail.
