Engineering Manager

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to manage the engineering and maintenance function in our client’s Food/ Beverage manufacturing facility in the Western Cape. Our client is seeking a candidate with experience managing engineering projects and delivering operational excellence

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the engineering and maintenance teams to maximise plant performance
• Develop and implement preventative and predictive maintenance strategies
• Manage capital projects, equipment upgrades, and plant expansion initiatives
• Continuous improvement programmes to improve equipment reliability and reduce downtime
• Manage engineering budgets, contractors, and capital expenditure
• Ensure compliance with engineering standards, health and safety legislation, and environmental requirements
• Monitor engineering KPIs and implement performance improvement initiatives
• Collaborate with production and senior management to achieve business objectives

Minimum Requirements

• Matric
• BTech Mechanical/ Electrical Engineering
• GCC
• Proven experience as an Engineering Manager within a manufacturing or industrial environment
• Strong knowledge of plant engineering, maintenance management, and asset reliability
• Experience leading multidisciplinary engineering teams
• Leadership, analytical, and project management skills
• Communication and stakeholder management abilities
