Project Manager – SAP, OpenText & AWS Projects

AppConverge is looking for an experienced Project Manager to lead and manage enterprise technology projects across SAP, OpenText and AWS environments.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the full project lifecycle from initiation and planning through execution, governance, go-live and project closure.

Contract: Full-time, six-month fixed-term contract

Location: Centurion, Gauteng

Key responsibilities

• Manage SAP, OpenText and AWS implementation, migration and support projects.
• Develop and maintain project plans, budgets, schedules and resource plans.
• Coordinate internal teams, clients, vendors and technology partners.
• Manage project scope, risks, issues, dependencies and change requests.
• Lead project governance meetings and provide accurate status reports.
• Monitor deliverables, milestones, budgets and resource utilisation.
• Manage testing, deployment, go-live and hypercare activities.
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and according to quality requirements.
• Maintain project documentation and ensure compliance with agreed governance standards.

Requirements

• Relevant degree or diploma in Project Management, Information Technology, Business or a related field.
• Recognised project management certification such as PMP, PRINCE2 or equivalent.
• At least 7 years’ project management experience, preferably within enterprise technology environments.
• Demonstrated experience managing SAP, OpenText and/or AWS projects.
• Strong stakeholder, vendor and team management skills.
• Sound understanding of project governance, budgeting, risk management and reporting.
• Excellent communication, leadership and problem-solving abilities.

Location and working arrangement

This is a full-time, office-based position at AppConverge’s offices in Centurion, Gauteng. Remote work is permitted for a maximum of one day per week, subject to project requirements and management approval. Occasional travel to client sites may be required.
