Join Our Team as a Power Tools Operator Region: Gauteng Job Purpose To safely operate and maintain power tools and equipment used in construction, industrial, maintenance, and engineering projects. The Power Tools Operator is responsible for completing assigned tasks efficiently while complying with all health, safety, and quality standards. Key Responsibilities Operate a variety of power tools safely and efficiently, including: Angle grinders Hammer drills Rotary drills Impact drills Circular saws Reciprocating saws Jigsaws Cut-off saws Demolition breakers Heat guns Electric and cordless screwdrivers Sanders and polishers Inspect tools before use and report defects immediately. Perform basic maintenance and cleaning of equipment. Measure, cut, grind, drill, and prepare materials according to specifications. Assist with fabrication, installation, maintenance, and repair work. Ensure work is completed according to quality standards and project requirements. Maintain a clean and safe work area. Follow supervisor instructions and complete work within agreed timeframes. Comply with Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) regulations and company procedures. Wear the required PPE at all times. Report hazards, incidents, and unsafe conditions immediately. Minimum Requirements Grade 12. Minimum 2 years' experience operating power tools in construction, engineering, manufacturing, or industrial environments. Knowledge of safe operating procedures for hand-held power tools. Medically fit for physical work. Able to work overtime and shifts when required. Valid driver's licence will be advantageous. Knowledge and Skills Competent in the safe use of electrical and battery-powered tools. Ability to read basic measurements and follow technical instructions. Good understanding of workplace health and safety. Ability to identify defective tools and equipment.
