CANSA is seeking qualified and experienced Registered Nurses to join our team in a variety of roles, including clinical services, training, health promotion, patient support and care, community screening, and cancer awareness programmes.

  • Provide compassionate clinical support and patient care through community clinics, the CANSA office, mobile clinic services, and corporate wellness programmes.
  • Conduct health screenings and assessments to promote early detection, prevention, and improved health outcomes.
  • Plan and facilitate health promotion, education, and awareness campaigns within communities and workplaces.
  • Support and coordinate the Home-Based Care Programme, ensuring continuity of care and patient follow-up.
  • Assist with the Stoma Support Clinic, providing education, support, and guidance to patients and caregivers.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders, community partners, professional volunteers, and healthcare providers to strengthen service delivery.
  • Contribute to marketing, networking, community outreach, reporting, and service development initiatives that enhance organisational impact and community engagement.
  • Registered Nurse qualification with current paid-up registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC).
  • Minimum of 3 to 6 years' relevant nursing experience, preferably in oncology, cancer care, community health, primary healthcare, wellness, or a related healthcare environment.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, administrative, and reporting skills, with the ability to engage professionally and compassionately with patients, caregivers, communities, corporate clients, healthcare professionals, volunteers, and other stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and the ability to maintain accurate records and reports.
  • Ability to work effectively in a structured, fast-paced, and demanding environment while maintaining a high standard of patient care and service delivery.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. Proficiency in Afrikaans and/or additional South African languages will be advantageous.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain effective stakeholder relationships and collaborate successfully within multidisciplinary teams and community-based healthcare initiatives.
  • A valid driver's licence, own reliable vehicle, and non-smoking status are essential requirements for this position.
