JOB PURPOSE
To provide leadership and oversight of the Bank’s Processing, Back Office and Card Production functions by ensuring efficient, accurate, and secure transaction processing, effective internal controls, and exceptional service delivery in support of the Bank’s strategic objectives.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Provides strategic leadership and oversight of the Processing, Back Office, and Card Production functions to ensure operational efficiency, service excellence, and compliance with established standards.
- Develops, reviews, and implements operational policies, procedures, and controls to support efficient and effective processing operations.
- Leads and manages divisional staff through performance management, coaching, and staff development.
- Oversees the accuracy, integrity, and timely execution of payments, transfers, and other processing activities.
- Establishes and maintains a robust internal control environment, ensuring effective segregation of duties, operational risk management, and compliance monitoring.
- Drives continuous process improvement and operational excellence initiatives to enhance productivity and customer experience.
- Collaborates with Branch Managers and other stakeholders to ensure effective service delivery and achievement of organizational objectives.
- Monitors divisional performance against agreed service levels, key performance indicators (KPIs), and operational targets, implementing corrective actions where necessary.
- Ensures timely resolution of audit findings, regulatory inspection observations, and control weaknesses through the implementation of agreed action plans.
- Prepares and manages divisional plans, budgets, and performance reports in alignment with departmental and the Bank’s strategic objectives.
- Leads and participates in strategic initiatives, projects, and system implementations impacting processing operations.
Requirements
Educational Requirements and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Banking, Business Administration, or a related field.
- General Accountant Certificate (GAC), ACCA, CIMA, or an equivalent professional qualification will be an added advantage.
- Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in banking operations, accounting, or a related environment, of which at least three (3) years should have been in a supervisory or management role.
- Proven experience in the use of core banking systems, computerized accounting packages, and Microsoft Office applications.
- Demonstrated knowledge of banking operations, reconciliation processes, internal controls, risk management, and regulatory compliance requirements.
