The Opportunity

We are seeking a dynamic and highly engaging Stakeholder Relations Business Partner with a genuine passion for community building. The ideal candidate brings a deep understanding of regulatory landscapes, socio-economic contexts, and local community dynamics to foster trust, drive strategic alignment, across three key pillars in unlocking Enterprise development, Supplier development and Socio-Economic Development and safeguard our organisational reputation across our operational footprint.

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Public Relations, Social Science, or a related discipline. Postgraduate qualification preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 – 7 years of progressive experience in corporate stakeholder management, corporate affairs, public relations, or government relations within a large, multi-site corporate environment.
  • Experience working across complex operational structures, dispersed workforce, or heavily regulated industries is strongly preferred.

Key Responsibilities & Deliverables

Stakeholder Engagement

Develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive Stakeholder Relationship Management (SRM) matrix across the business.

Foster meaningful, sustainable relationships with local community representatives and provincial key stakeholders.

Socio-Economic Development

Manage tangible Socio-Economic Development projects in line with the holistic transformation strategy and focus areas of Food security, education, affordable health and affordable housing

Supplier Development

Ensure the implementation of the Supplier Development Programme in line with the company’s holistic transformation strategy

Enterprise Development

Champion, and oversee the group’s Enterprise Development (ED) programs in operational regions, ensuring compliance with B-BBEE requirements and local socio-economic mandates

  • Strategic Influence: Ability to build credibility quickly and negotiate effectively at MANCO, and community leader levels.
  • Political Acumen & Cultural Sensitivity: Deep understanding of regulatory landscapes, socio-economic contexts, and local community dynamics.
  • Crisis Management: Sound judgment and calm leadership under pressure during complex, high-stakes situations.
  • Communication: Outstanding oral, written, and presentation skills with an ability to translate complex business operations into clear, accessible messages.
  • Collaboration: Strong cross-functional partnership mindset to bridge gaps between internal teams (Legal, HR, Operations, Communications) and external stakeholders.
