Account Manager

Account Manager | Tzaneen, Limpopo

Salary: R20 000 - R30 000 per month

We’re looking for an Account Manager to join a dynamic team in Stellenbosch. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys working closely with clients, managing projects and turning business requirements into practical solutions.

The successful candidate will be responsible for building strong client relationships while coordinating projects from initial scoping through to implementation.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and understand their business requirements.
• Act as a key point of contact between clients, management and internal project teams.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, resources, deliverables, risks and stakeholder expectations.
• Facilitate client workshops and product demonstration sessions.
• Lead requirements and process-flow scoping sessions and document business rules and project requirements.
• Work closely with development and project teams to ensure client requirements are clearly understood and delivered.
• Assist with basic system development and configuration, with training provided.
• Coordinate internal testing to ensure project deliverables meet the required standards.
• Assist with client and internal training on system functionality.
• Support the implementation of modules and functionality at client sites.
• Work with support teams to investigate and resolve queries relating to implemented solutions.
• Facilitate regular project meetings and provide clear progress updates to clients and management.
• Monitor project hours, including budgeted, quoted and non-billable hours.
• Assist with monthly client billing and user licence reconciliations.
• Analyse client business needs and help translate them into effective project solutions.
• Maintain clear documentation, including business rules and user guides.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Project Management, Business Analysis, Agri-Business Management or a related field.
• 1–2 years’ relevant experience in a project, account management, business analysis or similar environment.
• Exposure to Agile and Scrum methodologies and project management principles.
• Advanced Excel skills and strong proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Afrikaans.
• Strong analytical, organisational and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Self-motivated, disciplined and able to work independently.
• Strong interpersonal skills and confidence communicating with senior stakeholders, including CEOs and Directors.
• Experience or knowledge of the agricultural/farming sector would be advantageous but is not essential.

Additional Requirements

• Comfortable working in a hybrid environment and collaborating with technical and project teams.
• A valid driver’s licence is essential.
• Willingness to travel regularly to client sites, including local day trips, overnight stays and occasional visits of up to one week.
