Contracts Manager

Our client has an exciting opportunity for an accomplished Contracts Manager to oversee the successful execution of major construction projects in Cape Town. The successful candidate will combine technical excellence with commercial awareness and strong leadership to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards.

Requirements

• Degree or Diploma in Building or Civil.
• SACPCMP registration as a Construction Manager.
• Minimum of 10 years' technical construction experience.
• At least 6 years' experience in a management role.
• Strong understanding of construction contracts, project planning, cost management and quality systems.
• Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Willingness to travel to project sites and work extended hours when required.

Responsibilities

• Lead the successful delivery of multiple construction projects from commencement through to completion.
• Promote and maintain a strong culture of Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) compliance across all projects.
• Take full accountability for quality management and compliance on all projects under your control.
• Develop, drive and monitor project planning, programming and delivery schedules.
• Oversee project documentation and reporting using SharePoint and BOS systems.
• Monitor project budgets, control costs and optimise financial performance.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants and project stakeholders.
• Ensure contractual, statutory and legislative compliance throughout the project lifecycle.
