Our client, requires the services of a highly organised Dispatch Coordinator
to join their team. The Dispatch Coordinator will take responsibility for receiving all production deliveries, control of the physical stock in the storeroom and update and supply of various production related documents.
Key performance areas
Inventory Management
- Conduct regular physical stock counts and capture in stock management system.
- Deprecate unused SKUs on stock management system to maintain accurate inventory records.
- Ensure neat filing of all invoices, delivery notes, and related documentation.
Storeroom Management
- Manage access control to storeroom.
- Ensure tidiness and organization of the store, with proper bin labelling and stock placement.
Goods Receiving & Storage
- Receive all incoming stock on the same day of delivery.
- Verify stock is correct and capture invoice details into stock management system.
- Where required, liaise with technical personnel, to properly inspect, measure or test incoming stock items.
- Move received goods to designated warehouse bins and re-package items as necessary.
- Ensure all goods are stored correctly and bins are properly labelled.
- Liaise with suppliers with regards to queries.
Production Support
- Print picking lists and initiate production runs ("Design & Costing") on stock management system. as required.
- Pick stock according to picking lists and issue items on stock management system.
- Update progress of production runs on stock management system.
- Print and apply serial numbers for serialized items.
- Print and supply all required quality control documentation including factory acceptance documentation.
Administration & Reporting
- Send Order Sheets to the Front Desk Administrator for production supplies.
- Maintain accurate documentation and support audits as required.
Shipping & Dispatch
- Prepare and complete waybills and picking lists for shipments.
- Pick items for dispatch and ensure accuracy against orders.
- Record and update serial numbers of shipped items.
Health & Safety
- Report faulty or unsafe equipment immediately.
- Maintain stock of the first aid kit and request replenishment when needed.
- Ensure compliance with company health and safety policies.
Production Assembly
- Assist with assembly work on the production floor
- Assist with additional tasks on the production floor
The successful candidate must have
- Matric with a tertiary qualification would be advantageous
- Must have at least 2-3 years’ experience working in a production environment
- Excellent computer literacy (MS Office – Outlook, Word & Excel)
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
- Excellent written & verbal communication skills
- Must be able to adapt and willing to learn
- Must have a driver’s licence and own reliable transport
