We are seeking an experienced SHEQ Officer to join a leading healthcare organisation in Johannesburg, Gauteng. Bring your expertise in healthcare risk management, occupational health and safety, quality assurance, and compliance to a professional environment focused on maintaining high clinical and operational standards.

  • Manage and monitor SHEQ standards and compliance within the healthcare environment.
  • Identify, assess, and manage clinical and operational risks.
  • Implement and monitor risk management strategies and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant healthcare legislation, policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor quality assurance standards and support continuous quality improvement initiatives.
  • Conduct regular audits, inspections, and compliance assessments.
  • Identify potential hazards and implement appropriate corrective and preventative measures.
  • Assist with incident reporting, investigation, monitoring, and follow-up.
  • Promote health and safety awareness across the organisation.
  • Maintain accurate SHEQ documentation, reports, and records.
  • Work collaboratively with nursing, clinical, and management teams to promote a culture of safety and quality.
  • Provide guidance and support to staff regarding SHEQ policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Monitor compliance with infection prevention, occupational health and safety, and risk management standards.
  • Participate in quality improvement and risk management initiatives.
  • Support ongoing compliance with internal and external accreditation requirements.
  • Degree/diploma in General Nursing (Essential).
  • Risk Management Certificate (Essential).
  • Current BLS accreditation (Essential).
  • 3–5 years’ experience as a SHEQ Officer (Essential).
