Senior Field / Workshop Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Technician to join our team in Richards Bay. This is a critical role offering a competitive salary.

•Conduct pre‑delivery inspections, servicing, and repairs on machines and equipment.

•Perform accurate fault diagnosis and ensure cost‑effective solutions.

•Respond to customer callouts and provide technical support.

•Manage requisitioning and safekeeping of spares and consumables.

•Ensure machines are returned in a clean, safe, and presentable condition.

•Maintain documentation of services, repairs, and associated costs.

•Draft and prepare reports, explaining problems and solutions to clients.

•Workshop duties include troubleshooting and repair of aerial platforms, telehandlers, and electric materials handling equipment.

•Uphold housekeeping standards and safety protocols at all times.

•Matric / NTC3 minimum.

•Diesel Technician or Auto‑Electrician trade qualification

•Minimum 2 years’ experience with MEWP’s (Mobile Elevated Working Platforms).

•Hydraulics experience advantageous.

•Computer literacy (Excel & Word preferred).Valid driver’s licence.

•Must be medically fit, able to work long hours, under pressure, and unsupervised.
