Integration Architect - Administrative Applications | Stellenbosch (Hybrid)

Our client is seeking an experienced Integration Architect to play a pivotal role in designing and governing enterprise integration solutions across a diverse portfolio of administrative and business-critical applications. This opportunity is ideal for a strategic technology professional with strong enterprise integration expertise, a passion for architecture, and the ability to drive interoperability across complex environments.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring secure, scalable, and compliant integration solutions while supporting the organisation’s broader digital transformation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and maintain enterprise integration architectures for administrative applications
• Develop secure and scalable integration solutions aligned with enterprise standards
• Manage API lifecycle processes, including performance, availability, and security
• Collaborate with business units, technical teams, and external vendors to define integration requirements
• Ensure compliance with data privacy, interoperability, and governance standards
• Lead integration architecture reviews and provide technical guidance
• Drive continuous improvement and automation opportunities across integration landscapes
• Produce and maintain architecture documentation, integration specifications, and technical standards
• Mentor integration teams and facilitate knowledge transfer initiatives

Requirements

• Degree or formal ICT / Computer Science qualification
• Minimum 5 years of integration architecture experience within enterprise environments
• 5+ years of systems integration experience
• Experience working with ERP, HRMS, finance, billing, or other administrative platforms
• Hands-on experience with API Gateway technologies
• Strong understanding of enterprise integration design principles
• Knowledge of data exchange standards and interoperability frameworks
• Experience engaging with multiple business and technical stakeholders

Advantageous

• TOGAF or equivalent enterprise architecture certification
• Integration platform certifications (MuleSoft, Boomi, Azure Integration Services)
• HL7 and FHIR certifications
• Experience within healthcare environments
• Exposure to Agile and DevOps practices
