Instrumentation Technician - Rietvlei, Gauteng

CK Africa Talent is recruiting on behalf of our client, a well-established leader in the manufacturing industry, for an experienced Instrumentation Technician to join their Engineering team in Rietvlei.

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and fault-finding on instrumentation, process control and automation systems, while supporting plant reliability, production efficiency and continuous improvement.

• Maintain and repair instrumentation, process control and automation systems.
• Perform planned and breakdown maintenance.
• Conduct PLC, HMI/SCADA, VSD and instrumentation fault finding.
• Support robotics, motion control and industrial networking systems.
• Assist with electrical fault finding and panel building up to 525V.
• Maintain process control software and critical spares.
• Provide technical support to production.
• Support continuous improvement and plant reliability initiatives.
• Supervise subordinates and ensure work is completed safely and efficiently.

• Grade 12 (Matric).
• Instrumentation-related trade qualification, minimum T2 or N5.
• Minimum 5 years' experience as an Instrumentation Technician or similar.
• Manufacturing or industrial production experience.
• Strong experience with PLC, HMI/SCADA, VSD, automation and instrumentation.
• Electrical fault-finding experience up to 525V.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Salary: R40,000 – R45,000 CTC per month, depending on experience and technical capability.
