Unit Manager High Care

Our client is seeking an experienced Unit Manager to lead a High Care Unit and ensure the delivery of safe, effective, and patient-centred care. The successful candidate will combine strong clinical expertise with effective people and operational management.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day operations of the High Care Unit.
• Lead, mentor, and support nursing staff.
• Ensure compliance with clinical governance and patient safety standards.
• Monitor patient outcomes and departmental performance.
• Coordinate staffing, scheduling, and resource utilisation.
• Implement quality improvement initiatives.
• Promote effective collaboration within the multidisciplinary team.

Requirements

• Registered Nurse with current SANC registration.
• Relevant Critical Care qualification advantageous.
• Previous High Care or Critical Care experience.
• Proven leadership or unit management experience.
• Strong clinical and operational knowledge.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
