My client is looking for a Audit Manager to join their team. The Audit Manager will be responsibile for managing and delivering high quality audit engagements from planning through to completion, while ensuring compliance with applicabable auding standards, legislation and firm methodologies. The role will invole managing client relationships, supervising audit teams, reviewing audit work and providing technical guidance to ensure engagements are completed accurately, efficiently and within agreed deadlines.
Responsibilities
- Execute audit engagements from planning through to completion.
- Perform substantive testing,analytical procedures and control testing.
- Prepare and review audit working papers and supporting scedules.
- Identify audit risks and ensure appropriate audit procedures are performed.
- Supervise and provide guidance to Audit Trainees and Junior team members.
- Review the work of junior staff and provide constructive feedback.
- Assist with the preparation and review of financial statements.
- Communicate audit findings and outstanding requirements to clients.
- Investigate discrepancies and identify potentail control weaknesses.
- Ensure audit files are properly docuemented and completed within deadlines.
- Assist the audit managr with complex accounting and auditing matters.
- Maintain compliance with relevant auditing standards, legislation and firm procedures.
- Build profesional working relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.
Requirements
- Relevant degree/Diploma in Accounting, Auditing or related field.
- Completed or progressing towards SAICA/SAIPA or another relevant profesional qualification
- Previous external audit experience
- Good knowledge of IFRS,ISA and general accounting principles
- Strong analytical and numerical skills.
- Good report writing , communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to supervise junior staff and manage audit deadlines.
- Proficiency in relevant accounting and audit software.
