Scrum Master Intern

Braun Management

Remote

Braun Management works with executive teams to solve organizational problems that have become too internal to fix. We focus on structural truths, helping leadership teams clarify decision rights and resolve the friction that hinders growth in complex business systems.

The Role

Our partner is a major retail group currently navigating a significant infrastructure overhaul and operational restructure across their European operations. We are looking for a Scrum Master Intern to help coordinate the ceremonies and documentation flows that keep this large-scale transformation organized and transparent. This is a fully remote role where you will support the structural side of how teams collaborate and deliver work. In this position, you will see firsthand how agile methodologies are applied to solve real-world organizational friction in a high-stakes consulting context. You will work closely with our consultants to ensure that teams remain focused on their objectives while maintaining a high standard of accountability.

What You Will Do

  • Assist in organizing and facilitating daily synchronization meetings and sprint planning sessions for distributed teams.
  • Maintain and update the project backlog to ensure that every task is clearly defined and lacks ambiguity.
  • Track team progress and identify specific blockers that prevent a smooth operational flow.
  • Prepare detailed written summaries of team retrospectives to highlight areas where structural improvements are needed.
  • Support the documentation of decision rights and accountability maps within the agile framework to prevent overlapping responsibilities.
  • Help team members adhere to established communication protocols to minimize internal noise and friction.
  • Gather data for weekly reports to provide evidence-backed insights into team velocity and performance.
  • Coordinate with project leads to ensure that dependencies between different workstreams are clearly communicated and recorded.
  • Monitor the use of collaboration tools to ensure that documentation remains the primary source of truth for the project.

What We Are Looking For

  • A strong interest in organizational systems and how large groups of people coordinate complex tasks.
  • Clear and precise writing skills, with the ability to summarize long discussions into concise, actionable notes.
  • Basic familiarity with the principles of Scrum or other agile frameworks, likely gained through university coursework or independent study.
  • High attention to detail when managing task lists, timelines, and technical documentation.
  • The ability to remain objective and observant during team discussions without introducing personal bias.
  • An appreciation for structure and a desire to help others work more effectively through better process design.
  • Comfort working in a 100 percent remote setting where written, asynchronous communication is a vital skill.
  • Analytical thinking skills to help identify why a particular process might be failing or causing delays.
  • A professional and grounded communication style that fits a corporate consulting environment.

How We Work

Braun Management operates as a fully remote team, which requires a high degree of individual discipline and a commitment to written clarity. We avoid the constant chatter of synchronous meetings in favor of well-reasoned documents and structured working sessions. Because our work involves sensitive organizational changes and corporate governance, we prioritize precision and honesty in every communication. You will be expected to manage your own schedule effectively while contributing to a team that values evidence over opinion. This environment is best suited for those who enjoy quiet, focused work and believe that the best solutions come from rigorous analysis rather than flashy presentations.

What We Offer

  • A paid internship with a monthly stipend that is competitive for the entry level market.
  • Practical experience in a high-stakes consulting environment working with a major retail client.
  • Direct exposure to the complexities of large-scale organizational restructuring and European corporate governance.
  • The flexibility of a fully remote working arrangement, allowing you to work from your preferred environment.
  • Mentorship from consultants who specialize in structural analysis and fixing broken business systems.
  • Opportunities to develop professional writing, coordination, and administrative skills.
  • A work culture that values your time and focuses on meaningful results rather than performative busyness.

This role is an opportunity to help a major organization find its rhythm during a period of intense change and infrastructure rebuilding. By ensuring that the agile framework remains functional and transparent, you help reduce the friction that often stalls large-scale projects. Your work will contribute directly to the clear, written path forward that our clients rely on to regain their operational momentum. Through this internship, you will develop a deep understanding of how structural clarity leads to better business outcomes.
