Regional Team & Business Analysis Leader

We're looking for a Regional Team & Analysis Leader to join iqbusiness in Cape Town, leading a high-performing team of Business Analysts and Consultants across a diverse client portfolio.

This is a senior leadership role suited to an accomplished consulting and business analysis professional who combines strong delivery capability with people leadership, operational oversight and commercial acumen. You will play a key role in growing and strengthening the analysis capability in the region, while ensuring our clients receive exceptional consulting and business analysis services aligned to iqbusiness' standards of excellence.

You will work closely with clients, delivery teams, and client development to identify opportunities, shape solutions, and support business growth across industries, including retail, insurance, and financial services. The role requires someone who is comfortable engaging senior stakeholders, driving strategic initiatives, and developing future leaders.

We're looking for a credible leader who can balance strategic thinking with operational execution, inspire teams to perform at their best, and consistently deliver measurable value for clients and iqbusiness.

Key Responsibilities and Output Areas Include

Strategic Business Analysis & Consulting

• Deliver client-facing projects and engagements while ensuring high-quality business analysis outcomes.
• Identify opportunities to expand iqbusiness' footprint through additional scope, capability growth, and team expansion.
• Lead consulting engagements, develop business cases, and provide strategic recommendations where required.
• Support clients in solving complex business challenges and driving transformation initiatives.

Regional Leadership

• Lead and manage the regional analysis team in alignment with service line objectives.
• Monitor delivery performance, service quality, operational effectiveness, and key performance indicators.
• Identify and mitigate risks that may impact client delivery or team performance.

Team Management

• Lead, coach and mentor consultants and analysts across multiple client engagements.
• Conduct performance management, career development, and succession planning activities.
• Drive capability growth and foster a culture of continuous learning, delivery excellence, and collaboration.

Stakeholder Management

• Build and maintain trusted executive-level client relationships.
• Facilitate strategic discussions, workshops, and solutioning sessions with senior stakeholders.
• Partner closely with Client Development to support opportunity qualification, proposal development, and client engagement activities.

Financial & Operational Management

• Manage budgets and contribute to regional financial performance.
• Support forecasting, resource planning, and utilisation management.
• Monitor project delivery outcomes and improve operational efficiency across engagements.
• Ensure alignment with agreed service line objectives and business targets.

Engagement Expectations

• Influence senior executives and key decision-makers.
• Lead strategic initiatives across client organisations.
• Drive business growth, innovation and transformation outcomes.
• Mentor and develop future leaders within iqbusiness.
• Deliver measurable business value and sustainable outcomes.
• Represent iqbusiness at executive forums and client engagements across the Cape Town region.

Key Requirements

• 10+ years' experience in Business Analysis, Consulting or a related leadership discipline.
• Proven experience leading consulting, business analysis or transformation teams.
• Demonstrated success managing client relationships at executive level.
• Strong understanding of business analysis practices, governance and consulting methodologies.
• Experience managing operational performance, budgets and resource planning.
• Proven ability to lead complex programmes, strategic initiatives and organisational change.
• Relevant degree in Business, Commerce, Information Systems, Engineering or a related field.
• Postgraduate qualification and/or relevant professional certifications advantageous.
