Farm Manager - Villiersdorp

An exciting opportunity is available for an energetic, hardworking and passionate

Farm Manager to take full responsibility for the management of a farming unit in the Villiersdorp area.

Minimum Requirements

Matric with an agricultural qualification and/or

At least

10 years’ experience in fruit production, preferably pome fruit.

Strong people management and communication skills.

Basic computer literacy, including

Excel.

Experience in maintaining and implementing quality management systems such as GlobalG.A.P. and SIZA.

Sound technical knowledge relevant to pome fruit production.

Strong organisational, planning and problem-solving abilities.

A hands-on approach and genuine passion for farming.

Key Responsibilities

Full management of all production activities associated with the farming unit.

Planning, coordinating and monitoring fruit production operations.

Managing and supervising employees and production teams.

Ensuring compliance with quality, safety and agricultural standards.

Maintaining GlobalG.A.P., SIZA and other relevant quality management systems.

Monitoring production performance and implementing improvements where required.

Ensuring efficient use of labour, equipment and other farming resources.

Managing the unit independently and taking full accountability for day-to-day operations.

The successful candidate will be a self-motivated, energetic and practical individual who can independently manage a complete farming unit, lead a team effectively and ensure high production and quality standards.
