POSITION INFO

We are looking for an experienced Maintenance Artisan to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance, fault-finding, troubleshooting, installation, and repair of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and automated manufacturing equipment. Minimum Requirements National Senior Certificate (Grade 12) or equivalent - NQF Level 4 Code 8 Drivers License and own transport Minimum 5 years'' post-trade experience Strong mechanical and manufacturing experience Good electrical and mechanical knowledge Proven fault-finding and problem-solving skills Experience working with automated machinery and equipment Food manufacturing experience will be advantageous Ability to work independently and make sound technical decisions Strong commitment to OHS, HACCP, food safety, and quality standards Must be medically fit for the position as determined by an Occupational Medical Practitioner Willingness to work standby/after-hours when required Key Responsibilities Perform preventative and breakdown maintenance. Diagnose and repair mechanical and electromechanical faults. Conduct machinery inspections and fault finding. Install, maintain, and upgrade plant equipment. Complete maintenance job cards and documentation. Support and guide maintenance assistants. Maintain a safe, clean, and food-safe working environment.
