Role Description

We are looking for an Associate Attorney to join our dispute resolution team in Welkom.

The successful candidate will undertake a broad range of litigation and dispute resolution work, including:

* Civil litigation;

* Criminal litigation;

* Magistrates’ Court litigation;

* High Court litigation;

* Drafting pleadings, notices, opinions and other legal documents;

* Court appearances and preparation for hearings and trials;

* Consultations with clients, counsel and other professionals; and

* General dispute resolution and litigation-related work.

The position is suited to an attorney who enjoys litigation, is able to work independently and wants exposure to a varied and active dispute resolution practice.

Qualifications

* LLB degree;

* Admitted as an attorney of the High Court of South Africa; and

* Willing and able to work from our Welkom office.

Strong drafting, analytical, communication and client-management skills will be advantageous.
