Unit Manager Theatre

Our client is seeking an experienced Unit Manager to lead a busy Theatre Unit in Pretoria. This opportunity is suited to a strong nursing leader with theatre experience who can drive clinical excellence, patient safety, and effective operational management.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operations of the Theatre Unit.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the nursing team.
• Coordinate theatre activities, staffing, and resources.
• Ensure compliance with clinical governance and infection prevention standards.
• Monitor quality indicators and implement improvement initiatives.
• Promote safe and efficient patient care throughout the perioperative journey.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anaesthetists, and multidisciplinary teams.

Requirements

• Registered Nurse with current SANC registration.
• Theatre qualification advantageous.
• Previous Operating Theatre experience essential.
• Proven leadership or Unit Management experience.
• Strong knowledge of perioperative nursing practices.
• Excellent communication, organisational, and people management skills.
