An industry leader within the short term insurance advisory industry, based in the NORTH WEST PROVINCE is recruiting for an experienced, qualified and skilled Short-Term Insurance Underwriter
Formal education and qualifications as a minimum requirement
- Class of Business in Short-term Personal Lines
- Higher Certificate in Short-term Insurance – NQF 5 (minimum 120 credits)
- Regulatory Exam for representatives (RE5)
- Signed off at FSCA
- Matric
- Valid driver’s licence, code 8
- Own transport is mandatory

Responsibilities
- Building and maintaining business relationships with clients
- Discussing and assessing clients’ current and future short-term insurance needs
- Researching insurance policies and products and stay informed with change strategies from service providers
- Negotiating policy terms and costs with insurance providers
- Arranging insurance cover for clients with the insurance provider
- Keeping detailed records on the relevant systems
- Preparing management reports
- Advising clients on claims
- Renewing or amending existing policies for clients
- Undertaking general administrative duties
- Marketing ventures to reach minimum goals
- All new and existing clients must be aware of the complete Financial Service that the Company renders
- Maintain constant portfolio growth through the recruitment of new clients
- Give guidance to Administrators with regard to work procedures
Shortlisted candidates will be expected to undergo psychometric testing and background screening.
