We’re Hiring: Training Officer

Are you passionate about training, developing people, and helping professionals reach their full potential? We’re looking for an experienced and engaging Training Officer to join our team in Pietermaritzburg.

Location: On-site – Pietermaritzburg

Employment Type: Full-time

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver role-preparation training across a variety of professional positions.
• Conduct skills gap analyses and implement targeted training interventions.
• Facilitate ongoing upskilling on client-specific software, systems, tools, and processes.
• Support contractor onboarding, mentorship, and job-shadowing programs.
• Develop and maintain training materials, assessments, guides, and learning resources.
• Conduct assessments and monitor contractor training progress and performance.
• Track training effectiveness through scorecards, performance metrics, and reports.
• Collaborate with management to align training initiatives with operational and client requirements.
• Identify opportunities to improve training processes and contractor readiness.
• Support the continuous improvement of training workflows and development initiatives.

What We’re Looking For

• A BEd, ODETDP, Facilitator/Assessor qualification, or recognized Training & Development qualification is preferred.
• Previous experience in teaching, training, facilitation, coaching, or mentoring.
• Strong presentation, communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent planning, organization, administration, and attention to detail.
• Confidence using different systems, technology, and learning new software.
• A proactive, engaging, and people-focused approach to training and development.
