About the Role

The Operations Manager - Cleaning will oversee and enhance the cleaning operations within our organization, ensuring high standards of cleanliness and efficiency in all service areas. You will be responsible for managing cleaning staff, optimizing processes, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, positioning this role as key to maintaining operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

- Coordinate and manage daily cleaning operations, ensuring adherence to established hygiene standards and protocols.

- Develop schedules and allocate tasks to cleaning teams to optimize productivity.

- Conduct regular inspections of facilities to ensure compliance with cleanliness and safety standards.

- Implement and monitor quality control procedures to uphold service excellence.

- Train and onboard new cleaning staff, fostering a productive and positive work environment.

- Collaborate with facility management to address maintenance issues and improve operational processes.

- Manage inventory of cleaning supplies, ensuring stock levels are maintained and ordering supplies as needed.

- Prepare reports on cleaning efficiencies and staff performance to inform management decisions.

Requirements

- Proven track record in managing cleaning operations or a similar role within the facilities management sector.

- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and mentor a diverse team.

- Solid understanding of health and safety regulations relevant to cleaning operations.

- Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with attention to detail.

- Strong communication skills, capable of liaising effectively with team members and management.

- Proficient in using cleaning and facilities management software or tools is an advantage.

Preferred Qualifications

- Previous experience in customer service or client-facing roles is a plus.

- Certification in occupational health and safety or cleaning management would be beneficial.

- Familiarity with sustainable cleaning practices and green cleaning products.
