This highly acclaimed Hotel prides itself on being a respected & progressive employer brand, celebrated for our investment in employee wellness, the broader community & the environment. We are looking to recruit a Room Attendant who will work in various areas and is responsible for cleaning, hygiene and presentation of all guest bedrooms and the cleanliness, hygiene and presentation of front of house and back of house areas.
Key Accountabilities
- Maintain clean and tidy guest rooms & common areas.
- Ensure fresh linens and well-stocked amenities.
- Uphold hygiene and sanitation standards.
- Provide excellent guest service & responsiveness.
- Ensure safety and security compliance.
- Report on maintenance or safety issues.
Minimum Requirements
- Matric (National Senior Certificate)
- Work various shifts (late, early)
- Work across multiple functions, & guest rooms
- Proven track record of guest room cleaning experience in a 4* (minimum) hotel environment
- Satisfactory criminal record, subject to assessment of the nature, severity, relevance, and recency of any offence
Key Competencies
- Clean guest rooms, public areas, lifts, lounges while maintaining hygiene standards.
- Deep clean guest rooms and public areas.
- Report cleaning or maintenance issues promptly.
- Maintain housekeeping supplies and handle cleaning equipment efficiently.
- Handle waste disposal.
- Follow safety rules when using cleaning products and chemicals.
- Work well with others, adapt to changes, and manage tasks efficiently.
- Possess product knowledge of the hotel to assist guests.
- Excellent verbal and communication skills.
- Use new technology effectively, such as mobile devices for housekeeping tasks
