About the Role

The Contract Manager for Logistics in George will play a critical role in overseeing and managing the company's logistics contracts, ensuring compliance and fostering positive relationships with service providers. You will focus on negotiating terms, monitoring performance, and optimizing supply chain processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage and oversee all logistics contracts, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and compliance with legal requirements.

- Negotiate contract terms with suppliers and logistics partners to secure favorable pricing and service levels.

- Monitor performance metrics of logistics providers to ensure adherence to agreed-upon standards and KPIs.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify areas of improvement within the supply chain and implement effective strategies.

- Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners, facilitating clear communication.

- Conduct regular reviews of contracts to ensure they remain current and relevant to industry standards and company goals.

- Prepare and present reports on contract performance and logistics operations to senior management, highlighting key insights and recommendations.

- Resolve any disputes or issues that may arise in relation to contracts, working towards amicable solutions.

Requirements

- Proven track record in contract management, preferably within the logistics or supply chain industry.

- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to influence and achieve mutually beneficial agreements.

- Demonstrable experience in monitoring supplier performance and implementing process improvements.

- Excellent analytical skills, with proficiency in interpreting data and generating actionable insights.

- Strong organisational and project management skills with attention to detail.

- Effective communication abilities, both written and verbal, with the capability to liaise with various levels of stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

- A relevant degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

- Professional certification in contract management or supply chain management.

- Experience with logistics management software and supply chain optimization tools.

- Knowledge of industry regulations and best practices in logistics contract management.
