Condition Monitoring Specialist

We are seeking an experienced and technically skilled Condition Monitoring Specialist to monitor, analyse, and assess the condition of critical equipment and machineryon a temporary basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying potential equipment failures, supporting predictive maintenance strategies, and providing recommendations to improve equipment reliability and availability.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct condition monitoring activities on mechanical and rotating equipment.
• Perform vibration analysis, thermography, oil analysis, and other applicable condition monitoring techniques.
• Collect, analyse, and interpret equipment condition data.
• Identify early signs of equipment deterioration and potential failures.
• Prepare detailed condition monitoring reports and provide technical recommendations.
• Support predictive and preventative maintenance programmes.
• Monitor equipment trends and identify abnormal operating conditions.
• Liaise with maintenance, engineering, and operations teams to address equipment-related concerns.
• Assist with root cause analysis and failure investigations.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, findings, and equipment history.
• Ensure compliance with company maintenance, safety, and quality standards.

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12 / Matric.
• Relevant qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Condition Monitoring, Maintenance Engineering, or a related field.
• Relevant experience in condition monitoring and predictive maintenance.
• Experience within the Mining, Petrochemical, Manufacturing, or Engineering environment will be advantageous.
• Knowledge and practical experience in vibration analysis and other condition monitoring techniques.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Ability to interpret technical data and produce professional reports.
• Valid driver's licence will be advantageous
